In Louisiana, landlord-tenant relationships are governed by the Louisiana Civil Code Articles 2668–2729 and Louisiana Title 9 which deals with general provisions applicable to both commercial and residential leases, covering aspects such as lease agreements, the rights and obligations of both parties, and remedies in case of disputes.
