Triple Net Lease

A Triple Net Lease (often written as NNN lease) is a commercial lease structure where the tenant pays almost all of the property’s operating costs, not just rent.  It’s called “triple net” because three major expense categories are passed through to the tenant:  Property taxes, insurance and maintenance costs.
