In Tennessee, landlord-tenant relationships are governed by Title 66, Chapter 28 of the Tennessee Code Annotated, also known as the Uniform Residential Landlord and Tenant Act (URLTA). This law applies in counties with a population over 75,000 and covers rental agreements, duties of landlords and tenants, eviction procedures, and habitability standards.
