In Montana, landlord-tenant relationships are governed by the Montana Residential Landlord and Tenant Act of 1977, found in Mont. Code Ann. §§ 70-24-101 to 70-24-1107. This act covers lease agreements, landlord and tenant duties, repair obligations, eviction, and remedies for violations. It also includes protections for victims of domestic violence.
